The purpose of this webinar was to give teachers, career counsellors, educational authorities and researchers an understanding of careers in the STEM field with the chemical and petrochemical industry. Our two speakers from company members of the European Petrochemical Association (EPCA), Guido Henze, Cracker Optimization & Supply Chain Coordination at BASF, and Gabriella Isidro, Business Development Manager at INEOS, presented their experience related to this career path and talked about the opportunities existing in their sector.
OUR SPEAKERS
Guido Henze, Dr. Guido Henze joined BASF in Ludwigshafen in 2007 as a lab team leader in catalysis research. In a first international assignment, he was responsible for new business development and innovation management at BASF Japan, Tokyo from 2011 to 2014. After 3 years in operations as deputy plant manager in Ludwigshafen, Guido moved to BASF Antwerp in 2017 where he is now responsible for cracker optimization and supply chain topics for the European Basic Petrochemicals department.

Gabriella Isidro, Gabriella is a chemistry graduate from the University of Warwick who joined INEOS Commercial Graduate programme in 2013. Her career kicked off in Cologne, Germany in the downstream polymers business followed by a move to London to work in gas, power and emissions trading and procurement for INEOS's European sites. Gabriella now works in Switzerland as Business Development Manager for INEOS's Olefins and Polymers North-western European business. | |
