Join our Online Course Opening Minds to STEM Careers (RERUN)
The "Opening Minds to STEM Careers" Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) aims at informing, training and empowering primary and secondary teachers in successfully introducing and attracting young people to choose STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) careers from an early age, as well as to learn about private and public initiatives in STEM education.
This course is an opportunity for teachers who want to understand the current state of play of industries and companies, through online lessons and infor-mation about career guid-ance and development. It is also great for Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and is completely free of charge!
The course starts on 16 April 2018 and runs for the duration of 8 weeks, with an additional grace week at the end of the course. Two new learning modules will be opened every week. Participants will be able to finish this course in a minimum of 4 weeks and a maximum of 9 weeks. We hope that in this way, everyone can personalise their learning schedule, and finish the course in their own time, and pace.
This course was an initiative of the STEM Alliance, in collaboration with SYSTEMIC and Scientix, in order to give teachers and other educators the chance to know members of the STEM Alliance closely. The main audience for this MOOC is primary school teachers and secondary school STEM teachers, while secondary school teachers of any other subjects are also welcome to participate.
