A number of important science campaigns and initiatives are happening this academic year 2018-2019 that you should be aware of including the fourth STEM Discovery Week that will take place between 22 to 28 April 2019. This initiative and many more are all compiled in a new flyer published by Scientix.

In fact, there are 25 recurring science campaigns carried out every year with the support of international organisations like the European Union and the United Nations. While some of those initiatives promote specific science disciplines, such as coding or space science, the STEM Discovery Week encompasses all those different topics under one umbrella to promote associated studies and careers. With the help of this new flyer from Scientix, the community for science education in Europe, it is now much easier for educators to find activities that fit their school programmes and their areas of interest.

This academic year, you may also want to learn about unique science events like the landing of the Mars InSIGHT mission or follow the SpaceX Crew Dragon. In fact, 2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing and the 100th anniversary of the International Astronomical Union. This is, therefore, a perfect opportunity to plan school activities in relation to space sciences!
