Jointly organised by the STEM Alliance, Scientix and EPCA, this webinar was held online on Tuesday, 20 October 2020 during class hours at 10:00 CET.
Description:
A recent research on the attractiveness of STEM studies conducted by the STEM Alliance and Amgen Europe finds that girls are slightly more likely than boys to perceive STEM studies as "difficult and confusing", demonstrating a lack of confidence in their own ability to perform well in STEM-related fields.
The petrochemical industry offers remarkable examples of successful women who pursued technical education. This online event gave students the opportunity to meet and engage with the woman working in her company's technical department and hear how she built trust in her skills and competences during her studies.
