Description
Teachers TryScience offers a collection of resources in the field of environmental science. Lesson plans are focused on a hands-on approach of effective teaching strategies, practical how-to's and other helpful supports.
Lesson 2: SySTEMS Thinking encourages students to think about the importance deepening their understanding of local food systems. The main activity of the lesson is to build a simple model of the local food system, to gather data about the system and analyse issues that occur. Students can collect data in their school or neighborhood, familiarising them with their local context.
This lesson is based on Lesson 1: SySTEMS Thinking, therefore, it is recommended to complete Lesson 1 before starting Lesson 2.
