Description
IBM Activity Kits are online lesson plans for volunteers in the framework of the IBM SkillsBuild programme.
SkillsBuild is a call for volunteers in their professional capacity or as part of a community to bring technology and technological innovation closer to students and the public.
The Activity Kits offer support for these volunteers through pre-set activity plans and hands-on resources. Each Activity Kit comes with a description of the topic, the target audience, the goal of the activity, and how much time the activity will take - making the preparations of the volunteers simple.
There are three areas, in which teachers can built knowledge and skills of their students with the help of the Kits:
- Key Technologies: 21st Century Skills
- Digital Literacy and Coding
- STEM Careers for Everyone
The activity resources are not only meant for students in formal education, but also for kindergarten pupils, university students and adults. The search function on the web page makes it easy to find appropriate resources for your specific activity.
Generally, Activity Kits include a presentation, a guiding document and at times other materials, such as videos.
Each resource is available in different languages and accessible without registration on the website, free of charge.
Anyone can use the Activity Kits and share them with anyone as well. The Kits are available without logging in and are free of charge.
