Amgen Scholars

Amgen Scholars engages undergraduate participants to carry out a research project under the supervision of recognised researchers and institutions. The program offers an outstanding learning experience in the field of biotechnology in the form of seminars, networking events and a symposium.

Amgen Scholar offers a summer program to undergraduate students to participate in cutting-edge research opportunities at notable institutions in three regions of the world (U.S., Europe, Japan).

Students participating in the program undertake a full-time independent research project, while guided by acknowledged researchers at partner institutions. During the project, students gain experience in research, acquire analytical, presentation and networking skills. Events are organised to meet other young researchers and share ideas and interests, as well as to meet experienced researchers in their respective fields. The program focuses on familiarising students with the field of research, on building connections and gaining research skills.

Students are accepted to conduct research in one of the following fields:

Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Bioinformatics, Biopsychology, Biotechnology, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Chemistry, Immunology, Medical Pharmacology, Microbiology, Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology, Molecular Genetics,  Molecular Medicine, Molecular Pharmacology, Neurobiology, Neuroscience, Pathology, Physiological Psychology, Physiological Science, Statistics, Toxicology.
