The purpose of this webinar was to give teachers, career counsellors, educational authorities and researchers an understanding of careers, which can be developed in the STEM field. Our speaker, Esther Roure Vila, Customer Success Specialist for Cisco Digital Network Architecture at Cisco explained her professional evolution and how she manages to stay relevant in times of change. She showed us different tools she uses to keep her learning on track, why diversity is important and how to be an intrapreneur.

Jointly organised by STEM Alliance and Scientix, the webinar was held online on Monday, 25 February 2019 at 17:30 CET (Central European Time) in English language.

SPEAKER BIO

Esther has a Master Degree in Telecommunications Engineering and joined Cisco in September 2007 in the graduate program for Technical Services. She worked on switching platforms, storage platforms and later specialized in Data Center Support. From 2011 to 2014, she was working as a Technical Account Manager (TAM) and participated in several projects with Advance Services. At the end of 2014, she moved to Data Center Solution Team in Technical Services as a Team Leader and engineer. From 2016 to 2018, she was working in Service Enablement as Technical Service Advisor for Global Service Providers, where she had the opportunity to contribute to the development of new offers, better understand customer needs and the delivery challenges. Currently, she started her new adventure in Customer Success Organization as a Customer Success Specialist for Cisco Digital Network Architecture. She is driving the Cisco Transformation to New Business Models and is passionate about bridging the gap between Business and Technology. In addition, she has two CCIE and Executive MBA, she is Innovation Ambassador, leads Inclusion and Collaboration initiative, and is the 2014 European Digital Woman of the Year™.
