Description: The purpose of this webinar was to give teachers, career counsellors, educational authorities and researchers an understanding of careers, which can be developed in the STEM field, specifically in the IT and cybersecurity industry. Our speaker, Semyon Ovsyannikov, Cisco Networking Academy Technical Manager, Western Europe & UKI at Cisco explained about his experience working as an education expert in the IT sector, and ideas based on a currently running Cisco courses about Networking and Cybersecurity.
This webinar was an opportunity to learn more about STEM careers; the careers existing in cybersecurity, the study path to follow, key skills needed, possible places of employment, and teaching materials to support you in forwarding your learnings from the webinar.

Semyon started at Cisco Networking Academy in 2007 as Technical Manager, and later was involved as Instructor-trainer and IT Education expert for program development in Russia. From 2013 to 2017 he represented Russia as Worldskills International Expert in Skill 39 – IT Network Systems Administration. Currently he supports the development of the Networking Academy the Western European region, UK and Ireland. His main goal is to ensure program quality by engaging with leading training centers.
